Mellie Dilemma
Reuby and I got lazy today and stayed in instead of going to the market for our normal weekly grocery shopping. That would have been fine, except that Vittorio's food was almost down to the last pellet. It lasted the whole day, and there was just enough for dinner.
Unfortunately, Vittorio has a huge appetite and by midnight, he was mewing for food again. What's a girl to do then? I had a bright idea... Took a handful of Marzipan's own dry food and put it into his bowl, not knowing if he would actually eat it or not.
He did! I guess he was hungry enough to munch happily away, much to the puppy's indignation. There was some left over after he was done, and she whined at me to let her have it. I find it -really- ironic that she would have no qualms about eating his food, but refuses to let him touch hers.
But I let her eat her own food from the cat's bowl, and when she had polished it clean, I put in another handful and she finished that as well. It's strange, really, that she won't... (more)

God is Love Paintings for Christmas?! ?
I can't resist sharing this with you all. I love this concept. I was applying to get a job with them through Elance but that's a different story. Anyways, you can send photos of pictures or just explanations of what you want to this company. They send the request to a professional artist that they're linked to. Then you get photos sent to you of the artist's initial sketch and eventually you get to look at a picture of the finished work. They make unlimited revisions until you're 100% satisfied. This all takes 2-5 weeks depending on size and complexity of what you want. I thought it was a great idea for a Christmas gift or a portrait for decorating the house...
